Why I Do What I Do?

Each one of us has a story. I have one myself, but would like to reach as many people as God will have me reach with my story. Life will throw all sorts of things your way and these experience build strength, courage, perseverance, and character, just to name a few. I could fill a book with my story and maybe one day that book will be on the market. For now, I will share this.....

I am a Work at home mom of two beautiful children. For my eldest daughter, I was on bed rest for 6 months and thank God, she was born full term with no major issues. On the other hand, my 10 month old, I was on total bed rest at home for a few months and then in the hospital for almost a month. My job gave me my walking papers because they refused to hold my job for that length of time and for me to tell you the kind of roller coaster ride they put me on just so I can get the money that was due, me, you would never even believe it. Any who, my son was born 3 months early and stayed in the hospital for 2 months before I could bring him home. (you can read his full story at www.jaedenkai.blogspot.com) In the past two years I have lost 2 very important people in my life. One due to stroke and the other to cancer. So.....preterm labor, a micro-preemie, stroke, and cancer in less than two years.....Certainly it was time to make a change.

I went into business for myself, yes it is hard work, there is no need to sugar coat that....but I would rather work hard for myself, and know I will not get fired, than to work hard for someone else who will do away with me at any time they feel not recognizing I am a mom who has a family to feed as well.

So, I get to work from home, stay home with my son, take him to the doctor whenever I have to, (which is often) without worrying what my boss may say or feel about me not coming into work.

Do I push what I do to others? Absolutley NOT!!!! I know that what I do is not for everyone. That is just a fact. But, I do put it out there because you never know who may be interested or who is looking for an opportunity. Everyone prays for different things and answers come in different ways. This may be a tool or a blessing for someone and the answer to their prayer.

My passion is to help people and I know there is someone out there who wants and needs help and if I can provide that, I am here more than willing to do so. When we are blessed, we are to bless others in return.

So, that is part of my story.

To your health and your success,

Time for "Spring Cleaning" - Is Clutter Hindering Your Success??

In order to live a life of success, prosperity and stability one must have their affairs in order. During times of self reflection we seek our purpose in life and think of where we could be, should be and ultimately want to be. It is the goal of many to live a life of purpose. For some it goes further even to live a life of purpose WITH passion. We brainstorm, pray, seek, work, struggle and cannot understand what it is that we are doing wrong. What is blocking the door of success and order that we strongly desire to release?

I dare for you to take a good look around you and within you. Are you living a clutter free life? Simply stated, clutter is defined as disorder and this can present itself in so many ways. It can be physical, emotional, mental and financial. How many of us have the infamous “junk drawer”? You know, the place where you put mail, that you say you will get to later, or the countless manuals that come with the kitchen appliances or the flat screen TV, the DVD player, and oh so many other things. C’mon you know what you have in those drawers. Is your work area organized and systematic or do you have stacks of paper everywhere with no rhyme or reason? Do you have stacks of bills that you say you will get to and then don’t until you get the phone call saying your payment is overdue? It is one thing to miss a payment because you just don’t have the funds to do so, but to miss a payment because you lack organization is definitely avoidable. Perhaps, you have that “paper to be shredded” pile that you never seem to have the time to get to? How about your car? You think I am taking this just a little too far? Well, maybe you have never been in someone’s car where you were SO uncomfortable because it seemed like the person had everything you could ever imagine in their car. I am confident; someone has been subjected to that at least one time in their lifetime, unless of course, you are that person?

Clutter does not exist only in the physical form. A lot of us have “junk drawer” stored away in the back of our brains. These come in the form of procrastination, harboring resentment, unwillingness to forgive, holding on to toxic relationships and much more. Mental and emotional “junk drawers” are the most challenging to tackle, clean and organize, but have no fear because it is definitely attainable.

Think of the effect it is having on your present life compared to the benefits you stand to gain when you purge the clutter from your life. Ask yourself, will the benefits be worthwhile? How can you possibly open your state of thinking or have room for success, happiness and joy when there is simply NO space for it. Clutter blocks prosperity, opportunities and creative energy from flowing freely into our lives. We cannot expect order when our home, office, personal space and life are in pandemonium. If we want others to care and for our prayers to be answered, we have to take the first step. That means we have to care FIRST. We have to get our minds right and get our space right.

I challenge you to be proactive and de-clutter your space…one area at a time.
